As the first fire department in Fairfax County, Virginia, the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department has a rich and storied history. While it is not possible to capture every piece of history from over 100 years of selfless service to the community, this page aims to represent a glimpse into the department’s history, and the generations of members who built the department into the organization it is today.
From 1903 to 1921, every able-bodied man and boy in the Town of Vienna served as a member of the Fire Department.
