Are you interested in fundraising and supporting the life saving mission of the fire department? The VVFD Auxiliary may be right for you. Join a group of service minded people who work to support the department through fundraising and community service.
Fundraising is critical to the VVFD mission. The VVFD Auxiliary has been helping to meet that critical need since 1927. The Auxiliary sponsors fundraisers throughout the year with the proceeds helping to purchase life saving equipment for the department from the department’s first ambulance to modern day Fire and EMS equipment.
What We do
- Host events like pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners, train shows, Bazaar, bake sales, and more
- Weekly Bingo
- Offer scholarships and host seasonal community events
- Donate $10,000–$25,000 annually to support department needs
Auxiliary Expectations
- Complete our online application
- Pass a background check
- Attend monthly Auxiliary meetings
- Serve in the kitchen for Bingo every 4–5 weeks
- Support additional events as needed
- Serve a minimum of 75 fundraising hours annually
- Pay annual dues of $5
