Supporting the Mission.

If being a part of a service minded non-profit that directly supports saving lives right here in our own community sounds like a worthwhile way to spend your time? Administrative membership might be the path for you.

Administrative members directly support the department and its mission by ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the organization, planning fundraisers, hosting community events, and conducting community outreach. Administrative members join committees that manage different aspects of the VVFD, from planning large community events and fundraisers, to ensuring that our facilities, and apparatus are always ready to serve the community.

Do You Have Special Skills?

The VVFD is always looking for members with a wide range of professional skills and certifications. Some examples include: graphic design, accounting, IT, law, project management, public relations, fundraising, and event planing among many others. If this sounds like you and you want to serve the community, we want to hear from you!

Want to get even more involved?

Administrative members in good standing are eligible to run for administrative officer roles, including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Board of Directors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old (some 16-17 year old junior members are accepted).
  • Pass a background check.
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings.
  • Work a Bingo night every 6 weeks, and assist with other administrative, fundraising, or outreach tasks.
  • Join and serve on committees to support the operation of the department.
  • Volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per month.
