This unit serves multiple purposes based on department needs. The unit has a 150 gallon water tank and a pump with drafting capability, along with other tools such as a chainsaw, forestry hose and rakes for responding to brush and other limited access fires. The unit also responds as a medical first response vehicle on the WOD bike trail. During the winter months, the unit is equipped with a 8’2” Boss “V” snow plow and responds to provide access to homes and hydrants for other emergency vehicles.
This unit is routinely cross-staffed with personnel from Engine 402. Volunteer firefighters often offer dedicated staffing during inclement weather events.
