I just got off the phone with the big guy from up North and he has confirmed that once again the Vienna town residents are on the nice list! Santa has asked the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department to show him around town to spread a little holiday cheer and to help him warm up for Christmas Eve.
This year, Santa will be escorted by the VVFD aboard his official Vienna sleigh, the 1946 Maxim fire engine. Look for Santa as he drives around the town's residential streets. When you hear the sirens and music and see the flashing lights, please come outside to see Jolly Old Saint Nick and to receive a candy cane from one of his honorary elves. While Santa's Vienna sleigh does run on Christmas Cheer, it is a bit slower than his sleigh pulled by reindeer. So help Santa and his elves see all the good little boys and girls of Vienna by gathering with your neighbors. Santa usually starts around 5:00pm on weekdays and noon on weekends. View the overall map and the schedule to the right to get a better idea when we'll be in your neighborhood. We are hoping that with our new elfin sleigh mechanic recruited directly from the North Pole, we will be able to avoid mechanical difficulties and follow this schedule. Please keep in mind however that weather, mechanical issues, or other factors may cause us to deviate or not complete our schedule. Any changes to the schedule will be updated here and Twitter. Santa and his VVFD elves look forward to seeing you around town! Track Santa! When he's on the road, check this map for location updates.
