This is an advanced life support transport unit and is staffed 24/7 by 1 career paramedic and 1 career firefighter/EMT-B from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
Volunteers provide supplemental staffing on Medic 402, acting as an extra set of hands to assist with the patient or driving to and from the scenes of emergencies.
