It is staffed by 2-4 qualified volunteers on a regular basis, as well as during major incidents, inclement weather and local public service standbys such as Viva Vienna, July 4th Fireworks and Oktoberfest. This vehicle is routinely in service as a Basic Life Support ambulance but when staffing allows can be instantly upgraded to an Advanced Life Support medic unit with a volunteer paramedic.
This unit serves as a “ready reserve” transport unit for continued operations when M402 is out of service for mechanical reasons.
